Grace Lutheran School - Miss Jan Musser- 1st and 2nd Grade I have always felt that I was born to be a teacher. I love children and I love teaching. There is so much more to teaching than just academics. An education that seeks to educate the mind only is not educating the “whole child”. Education must also help children to grow in character and integrity, get along with others, resolve conflicts, and especially to grow in their walk with Jesus. This is true education. My academic specialty is teaching reading and the language arts. My reading program consists of a strong phonics base, comprehension skills, and written expression practice. I also add listening skills and read alouds to the children which strengthens their listening vocabulary. I also teach spelling, math science, P. E., and music in the primary grades. I have taught here at Grace for many years because I feel there is no better climate in which to learn than in a caring environment with a successful curriculum centered around the love of Jesus. |
